Youâve got your visa, boarded the plane, and landed in Germany. The moment you say "Phew, itâs over!" is actually when the real struggle begins. Welcome! đ
Especially if you are going to big cities like Berlin, Munich, or Hamburg, two big "monsters" are waiting for you: the housing problem and Anmeldung, the first link in the bureaucratic chain. Listen to this article to avoid seeing "I'm stranded on the street!" messages in groups.
đ Survival Guide đ
1. Why Is It So Hard to Find a Rental House/Room (WG)? đïžâ There is a serious housing crisis in Germany. Hundreds of applications can be sent to a rental room advertisement (via WG-Gesucht or ImmoScout24) within the first 10 minutes.

You can't get internet connected.
The Vicious Cycle (Catch-22):Â You need to find a house to do Anmeldung, you need a bank account/salary to find a house (sometimes), and you need Anmeldung for those... đ
3. Practical Solutions for the First Days 𧳠Finding a permanent home can take months. Lower your expectations at the first stage.
Temporary Solutions: Turn to furnished temporary apartments like Airbnb, "Wunderflats," or "Zwischenmiete" (staying in someone's place temporarily) options. The important thing is to ask if the place provides the "WohnungsgeberbestÀtigung" (landlord confirmation document) required for Anmeldung.
